The Portway Data Centre is a purpose built, climate controlled power assured high security data suite. Its purpose is to provide a stable power reliable and secure environment for communications infrastructure and hardware used to store or manage business critical data. It is intended for the benefit of both tenant and non tenant users. The Portway Centre provides 24 hour active building security, and 24 hour seven days a week automated monitoring and CCTV systems to ensure high levels of security for data management and storage infrastructure
Assured Power
Generator back up combined with client or Data Centre UPS provides assured power even when mains power fails.
On site Technical Support
Technical support and back up is available from the on site Datanetex team and in addition reception and on site management operates during core hours
High Speed Internet Access
The Portway Centre provides access to fibre optic internet access which facilitates high speed remote access and internet based services
Fire Protection
Air sampling smoke detection, gas fire suppression, fire resistant walls eliminate internal fire risk

Technical Specification
The Portway Centre colocation suite is designed for compact hardware and infrastructure requirement. Shared colocation provides a minimum of 2U of secure rack space and power within a shared cabinet in a secure constant environment suite. Multiple packages may be specified to host multiple devices and to provide additional flexibility. UPS architecture may be specified as a chargeable option. Shared rack options are charged from £85 per month for 2U
Dedicated rack colocation
Dedicated rack options provide greater capacity than shared colocation together with a private environment for hosted equipment. Power requirement is calculated by the Portway Datanetex team depending on each component units's power requirement. Additional power is available on request. UPS architecture may be specified as a chargeable option. Dedicated rack options are charged from £450 per month.

Environmental control and management
Environmental controls include fresh air ventilation, temperature controlled air conditioning, air-sampling smoke detection and Argonite gaseous fire suppression.
High dependency power supply
Power is delivered to the facility via, independent PDUs (Power Distribution Units), dual utility power feeds from separate substations and an onsite diesel generator supply.
Secure data hosting
The data centre is closely monitored 24/7, by a comprehensive CCTV system. The data suite is secured by an indepedant locking system. Out of hours access is controlled by a sophisticated alarm system, monitored 24/7. Activation results in immediate alert to local security and police.
Easy access for authorised personnel
The data centre is a short distance from major transport links ensuring easy access if physical access to equipment is needed. Authorised personnel may can gain immediate access by booking through Main Reception.
